Our History

Our history begins in Teziutlan, Puebla Mexico In The 70’s with a couple of restaurants called “La Mansion Del Quijote” “El Cheez” And “Sergio’s” since then our passion for food took us to the east coast. Folklore’s Menu offers a broad selection of Artisanal Mexican food made with great care and attention to detail. There are many ways to experience our food. Yet, there is still a colorful rainbow of traditional Mexican cuisine out there if you look for it. And there’s no better place to find it than eating at FOLKLORE. Our tacos are a staple of the real artisanal Mexican cuisine; simple with fresh cilantro and onion, accompanied with lime and homemade salsa Verde. What sets FOLKLORE apart from other places is that all of our Mexican dishes are made with love. Our family takes great pride in all the elements that go into our food whether it be making salsa, regional dishes, special sauces or marinades to bring out the best flavors. To them, cutting fresh limes, juicing citrus and opening banana leaves is just part of the job and a key to FOLKLORE’S success. We use artisanal recipes as an outlet to express our creativity and love for food. FOLKLORE, it is synonymous with bold flavor and we achieve this by respecting the age-old Mexican traditions.
